Dr. Francis Somerwell is passionate and committed to work uplifting a low income population. He has rich experience of working in over 40 countries including most in Africa, Asia and South America with of 18+ years predominantly in Healthcare, IT, Risk management, Health insurance. Wherein he has been actively involved in executing a wide array of healthcare activities including alternative health risk mitigation products. He worked for UN, World Bank, GIZ and at present consulting for Unicef in various Indian states in reduction of IMR/MMR, and other developing agencies, he is also involved in managing the Sickle Cell Anemia program for India tribal population.

At present he is working as a COO leading Indian operations for NIDRIVE Japan, a company leading its operations from Tokyo.

He has PhD in Iris Biometric Technology, masters degree in Economics, Project management professional, Business Administration, Risk Management, Computer application, Community Health Financing, he is enrolled for additional phd in health economics focused on "alternative ways to meet health risks for low income informal sector".
